Josh Frasier is in his 14th season with the Rangers, his ninth full campaign as bullpen catcher. It will be his 16th season overall with the organization, previously serving as the team's major league video coordinator before moving to his current role in the middle of the 2005 season.
He worked with the Rangers as an intern for two years, performing a number of team-related tasks. Josh coordinates much of the team's on-field operation both in spring training and during the regular season. He has also handled batting practice duties for most of his time with the Rangers. In his previous role, he ran all of the coaching and scouting video for the major league club, both home and away.
Josh is a graduate of Rockwall High School, where he received Texas all-state honors as a catcher in 1995. He caught for four years at Northwood University in Cedar Hill, Texas, earning all-conference honors and NAIA All-America honorable mention in 1995.
In 2012, Josh lent his time to the Ozarka Camps for the Hispanic Community.
A 1999 graduate of Northwood University, Josh and wife Lacy have a daughter, Lola Grace (9/28/13), and reside in Rockwall.
