More than 20,000 fans on Sunday took part in the Atlanta Braves inaugural #BravesBash, the first ever completely interactive fan-player event using digital and social media platforms.

  • More than 13,000 fans tuned in to the live streaming event on braves.com/bravesbash and the Braves Facebook page
  • More than 2,200 fans took part in the Conference Call with the Fans - Braves broadcaster Jim Powell moderated a phone conversation between more than 2,200 fans and a rotation of players including: Michael Bourn, Tommy Hanson, Eric Hinske, Chipper Jones, Craig Kimbrel, Nate McLouth, Dan Uggla and Jonny Venters
  • Skype with the Fans - Braves including Freddie Freeman, Jason Heyward, Tim Hudson, Brian McCann, Martin Prado, Dan Uggla, and Eric Hinske made and received more than 100 Skype Calls, directly from the Braves clubhouse. Braves players even Skyped with the guys from MLB Fan Cave
  • More than 3,000 individual tweets with the hashtag #BravesBash were sent by 960 unique tweeters
  • The Braves gained more than 16,500 Facebook

  • The Side Session hosted by @PeterMoylan - Peter Moylan hosted a live talk show in the Braves Auxiliary Clubhouse, interviewing Chipper Jones, Michael Bourn, Brian McCann, David Ross, Tim Hudson, Freddie Freeman, Martin Prado, Kris Medlen, and Braves legend Dale Murphy in front of a live studio audience of fans, randomly selected Twitter followers and media.
  • Live Online Chats - Brandon Beachy, Tommy Hanson, Jason Heyward, Derek Lowe, Eric O'Flaherty, Alex Gonzalez, Julio Lugo, Cristhian Martinez, Nate McLouth, and Martin Prado hosted English and Spanish chats with fans on Braves.com throughout the event.
  • @Braves Twitter Takeover - Braves GM Frank Wren, manager Fredi Gonzalez, and player Eric Hinske, selected by the @Braves followers in the week leading up to #BraveBash, took over @Braves Twitter account and hosted Twitter chats with fans.
