Atlanta Braves Homestand Highlights - July 16 - July 23

Thursday, July 16 - New York Mets vs. Atlanta Braves, 7:10 p.m. - Oliver Perez vs. Derek Lowe
- Braves Coca-Cola Bottle Unveiling - A new 21st century rendition of the iconic Coca-Cola Contour bottle will debut at Turner Field, with a high-resolution, programmable screen serving as the bottle's famous red label and lights that can produce millions of different colors. The new bottle will offer a high-tech way to celebrate a Braves' home run while carrying on the traditional fireworks celebration for which the original bottle was known. The bottle will be presented in a pre-game ceremony with Hank Aaron and during the game, Coca-Cola and the Braves will distribute genuine pieces of memorabilia from the original Coca-Cola Sky Field bottle to a number of lucky Braves fans.
- Braves Player Card Deck Giveaway Presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors - The first 5,000 fans at Turner Field on Thursday, July 16 will receive a deck of Braves Player cards courtesy of Academy Sports + Outdoors.
- Braves Band of the Year Competition - Pop rock band Last November will perform live in Fan Plaza during pregame and postgame entertainment. After being featured on multiple MTV shows and over 200 radio stations, Last November will make their Turner Field debut. Fans can also check out the beats of the Heavy Hitters, meet the Tomahawk Team and have their photo taken with Homer.
Friday, July 17 - New York Mets vs. Atlanta Braves, 7:35 p.m. - Mike Pelfrey vs. Jair Jurrjens
- Greg Maddux Induction to the Braves Hall of Fame and #31 Retirement - The Atlanta Braves will honor legendary pitcher Greg Maddux by inducting him into the Braves Hall of Fame and retiring his uniform number, #31. The induction will take place at the Braves Hall of Fame Luncheon at the Omni Hotel during the day and the uniform number retirement will occur in a pre-game ceremony. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 7:15 p.m. as the ceremonies will start at 7:30 p.m. on the field.
- Meet Alumni Dale Murphy - Braves Hall of Famer Dale Murphy will be signing autographs in Fan Plaza from 5:25 p.m. - 6:25 p.m. followed by a Q & A session with fans.
- Atlanta Braves Foundation Weekend - From the time the gates open until the end of the game, fans can visit the Hank Aaron Room at Aisle 128 to purchase unique and valuable baseball items such as framed memorabilia and game used jerseys from the Atlanta Braves and other Major League Baseball teams. Proceeds benefit the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
- Coca-Cola Recycling Awareness Weekend - The Coca-Cola Recycling Education Vehicle will be at Turner Field to interact with fans and talk to them about the value of recycling. The REV features educational videos about how bottles and cans are recycled and recycling trivia games where fans can win prizes, including a Braves Recycling Team t-shirt made from recycled PET.
- Braves Band of the Year Competition - SunDown will perform live in Fan Plaza during pregame entertainment. With a unique blend of rock and country, an all around commitment to great songs and a passion for energetic live performances, SunDown is reshaping country music boundaries. Fans can also check out the beats of the Heavy Hitters, meet the Tomahawk Team and have their photo taken with Homer.
- Publix Tailgating Zone - The Publix Tailgating Zone will be located in the Green Lot every Friday and Saturday for Braves home games. Fans can set up a Braves/Publix themed tailgate for a chance to win a $250.00 Publix gift card and be the Tailgater of the Game featured on BravesVision. Tailgaters will receive Publix/Braves premium items and the opportunity to sample select Publix products.
- Publix Friday Night Fireworks - Enjoy a fireworks show after the game and after every Friday night home game in 2009.
Saturday, July 18 - New York Mets vs. Atlanta Braves, 4:10 p.m. - Johan Santana vs. Kenshin Kawakami
- The All American Rejects Postgame Concert - The Atlanta Braves will host a free postgame concert presented by Coca Cola with multi-platinum recording artists The All American Rejects starting approximately 20 minutes after the last out of the game. The band's hits include "Swing Swing," "Dirty Little Secret," "It Ends Tonight," "Move Along" and most recently "Gives You Hell" off of their latest LP, When the World Comes Down. Fans interested in attending the concert can purchase game tickets at the Turner Field ticket office or go to www.braves.com/tickets.
- Tommy Hanson Autograph Signing at the Braves Clubhouse Store - Atlanta's Braves pitcher Tommy Hanson will sign autographs at the Braves Clubhouse Store at the CNN Center from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 18. Please call 404-523-5854 for more information.
- Atlanta Braves Foundation Weekend - From the time the gates open until the end of the game, fans can visit the Hank Aaron Room at Aisle 128 to purchase unique and valuable baseball items such as framed memorabilia and game used jerseys from the Atlanta Braves and other Major League Baseball teams. Proceeds benefit the Atlanta Braves Foundation.

- Braves Band of the Year Competition - Country artist Katelyn Pope will perform live in Fan Plaza during pregame entertainment. A fourteen year-old singer, songwriter and musician, Katelyn plays the best country music there is to offer, including favorites of yesterday and today and originals of tomorrow. Fans can also check out the beats of the Heavy Hitters, meet the Tomahawk Team and have their photo taken with Homer.
- All-Star Sundays - Every Sunday at Turner Field is an All-Star Sunday, featuring alumni autograph sessions in Fan Plaza before the game and Kids Run the Bases immediately following the game. Braves alumni Adrian Devine & Vic Correll will sign autographs in Fan Plaza between 3:50 p.m. - 4:50 p.m. followed by a Q & A session with fans.
Monday, July 20 - San Francisco Giants vs. Atlanta Braves, 7:10 p.m.

- Braves Band of the Year Competition - The Paul Green School of Rock All-Stars will take the stage live in Fan Plaza during pregame entertainment. The All-Stars are made up of kids ages 7-18 from New York, Philadelphia, and New Jersey. The best in their "class", they play spot-on versions of classic and modern rock hits.
