Atlanta -- A strengthened team lineup and upgraded amenities at Turner Field are not the only signs of change for the upcoming season, as the Atlanta Braves will don new, red jerseys and all-navy caps for the team's thirteen Sunday home games. The additional team jersey marks the first change in the Braves uniform since 1987, and features the "Braves" script in blue across the chest, with the well-recognizable tomahawk underneath. In addition to the red jersey, a special alternate cap will be worn for the Sunday home games featuring a navy blue background with the famed Braves "A" combined with the tomahawk in red.

In more than 130 years of Braves baseball, the team has been through an array of uniform designs, but this is the first time in team history the Braves have a uniform specifically for Sunday home games. The special red jerseys and caps are available for sale through the Braves Catalog, 1-800-433-BRAVES, the Braves Clubhouse Store at CNN Center and at Turner Field.

"The Braves wanted to incorporate one of its primary team colors into a game jersey that signifies special Sunday-only home dates," said Derek Schiller, senior vice president of sales/marketing for the Braves. "We expect the alternate, red jersey and cap to be a hot item with fans."

Red jersey, Braves (Sunday) home dates for the 2005 season are:
April 10 vs. New York Mets
July 10 vs. Milwaukee Brewers
April 24 vs. Philadelphia Phillies
July 31 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
