    The Orioles today announced that they have placed LHP WESLEY WRIGHT on the 15-day Disabled List with a left trapezius strain. In a corresponding move, the Orioles have recalled RHP EDDIE GAMBOA from Triple-A Norfolk.

    In recognition of the 68th anniversary of Jackie Robinson becoming the first African-American player in Major League Baseball, the Orioles will honor Robinson's legacy on Wednesday, April 15, by hosting a "self-expression" contest with the Boys & Girls Club.

  • Orioles active on field, in community during Spring Training campaign

    The Major League Orioles began the 2015 regular season this week, following a Spring Training season that set a new, per-game average attendance record and celebrated the Sarasota area community with a series of gameday events to benefit local youth and non-profits. Although the Major League team won't play games at Ed Smith Stadium again until 2016, the club will continue to maintain a year-round presence in the Suncoast community, including athletic training through Extended Minor League Spring Training, Summer Gulf Coast League, Fall Instructional League, and other athletic rehabilitation programs, as well as via many charitable activities and the "Arts in the Ballpark" event series.
