Braves announce plans for Country Caravan
Gattis, Freeman, Heyward, Kimbrel all scheduled to appear at various stops
ATLANTA -- Evan Gattis will serve as the feature attraction during the first two stops of this year's Braves Country Caravan.
The Braves announced all of the participants for this year's caravan on Friday afternoon. The two-week event kicks off on Tuesday with a stop in the Metro Atlanta area and a stop at the Academy Sports + Outdoors in Newnan, Ga. Gattis, Anthony Varvaro, general manager Frank Wren and assistant hitting coach Scott Fletcher will all be available to sign autographs from 3:30-5 p.m. ET.
Gattis and David Hale represent the Braves when the caravan travels to Greenville, S.C., on Wednesday. This trip will include a private community event along with another autograph signing opportunity at the Academy Sports + Outdoors store on Woodruff Industrial Lane from 3:30-5 p.m. ET.
Jason Heyward and Freddie Freeman are currently scheduled to join manager Fredi Gonzalez, bench coach Carlos Tosca and Hall of Famer Don Sutton to sign autographs at the Town Center Mall in Kennesaw, Ga., on Jan. 28 from 4-6:30 p.m. ET.
Craig Kimbrel will represent the Braves when the caravan goes to his hometown of Huntsville, Ala., on Jan. 26. The Braves closer is also scheduled to be present when the event concludes with a pair of autograph signings in the Atlanta area on Feb. 1.
