Shortstop exits with left glute contusion in sixth inning
DENVER -- Nationals shortstop Alberto Gonzalez left Monday's game against the Rockies with a left glute contusion. He is listed as day-to-day.
Gonzalez was injured in the fourth inning, when he slid hard into third base. He stayed in the game, but was taken out two innings later. Gonzalez was replaced by Pete Orr.
Gonzalez went 2-for-3 in the game.
