at Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
Saturday, March 10

Braves at the plate: After Andruw Jones touched Dustin McGowan with a one-out, two-run homer, Brian McCann followed with a solo shot to cap a three-run sixth inning. Scott Thorman, a Canadian who grew up approximately 90 minutes from Toronto, provided a pair of singles.

Blue Jays at the plate: A diving Jones turned an apparent two-out, third-inning single into a rare Matt Stairs triple that produced Toronto's only run. Jeff Duncan provided a two-hit performance that included a third-inning bunt that came to a stop against the third-base bag.

Braves on the mound: Mark Redman, who signed a Minor League contract Friday, limited the Blue Jays to three hits and one earned run in three innings. Rafael Soriano tossed a scoreless fourth inning, and Lance Cormier registered five strikeouts in his four scoreless innings.

Blue Jays on the mound: Josh Towers threw 18 of his 27 pitches for strikes and allowed just two third-inning singles in three scoreless innings. Geremi Gonzalez allowed three hits and registered a strikeout in his two scoreless innings.

Grapefruit League records: Blue Jays 4-4-1; Braves 6-2-1.

Up next: The Braves will play the Cardinals on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. ET in Jupiter. Kyle Davies will face Chris Carpenter. Roy Halladay will take the mound for the Blue Jays at 1:05, when they face the Twins in Dunedin.
