CAREER: Became a member of the Major League staff in 1998...has worked the Division Series (2000-01, 04, 06, 08, 11), the 2007 American League Championship Series, the 2008 World Series and the 2007 All-Star Game...was an instructor at MLB's inaugural Umpire Camps (MLBUC.com), held at MLB's Urban Youth Academy in Compton, California, in November 2006...previously umpired in the Northwest League (1985), California League (1986), Texas League (1987-89), Pacific Coast League (1990-95) and International League (1996-97).

PERSONAL: Played baseball in college and was named 1983 First-Team All-American...his proudest moment as a Major League umpire was having his father watch him work a Major League game...enjoys working out and playing golf in the off-season.
