Club Concierge

Job Description:

Responsible for providing an exceptional experience for every guest, primarily within our exclusive club environment. This position will serve as the host of the club, greeting and creating relationships with guests, as well as seating club guests at their respective tables. This person will be the main liaison with club guests and valet service, and will also work closely with the food service team in the club. Must have strong interpersonal skills and provide excellent customer service. Must be attentive to guests' needs, have full knowledge of all policies, services and facility locations.

Qualifications:

Staff must commit to work all or a majority of home games over the course of the season. Must be able to stand for a minimum of 3 to 4 hours at a time, must be able to work in inclement weather, and must report to work 3 hours before game time and work game delays and extra innings if applicable. Staff must have reliable transportation to and from work for all games and in particular during game delays and extra innings. Staff members must be able to project an approachable, professional attitude at all times. Previous customer service experience a plus.

Job Description:

Event Security Staff

Job Description:

Responsible for enforcing all rules, regulations, policies and ordinances of Turner Field, City of Atlanta, and the State of Georgia. These positions include roving security officers, access control officers and fixed positioned officers. Reporting time is a minimum of 2½ hours prior to game time. The Plaza opens 1 hr. early, so some staff members will report a minimum 3½ hours prior to start of game. Security remains at most 1 hour after the game.

Qualifications:

Five years consecutive security background (Military Police, Turner Security, reputable security agencies, etc.) P.O.S.T. certification is a plus. Successful background check required. Event Security Staff Supervisors

Job Description:

Supervisors will provide event direction to assigned staff in their particular service functions. Serve as a direct line of communication between the department and all event security staff. Receive, implement and monitor all Departmental regulations, policies, directives and instructions.

Qualifications:

Event Gate Screener

Job Description:

Responsible for performing thorough and professional use of metal detectors (i.e. handheld wands and/ or walk through units) per Braves guidelines. Duties will be limited to handheld wand scanning device only i.e. position will be performed in sequence of walk through metal detectors or without the presence of walk through metal detectors. This individual will alert authority I.e. security or police prior to allowing entrance to persons who have or appear to have prohibited items until said items have been properly dealt with by the proper authorities. Additional duties as assigned by the Sr. Director of Stadium Operations or his designee. Reporting time is a minimum of 2½ hours prior to game time. The Plaza opens 1 hr. early, so some staff members will report a minimum 3½ hours prior to start of game. Screener position will report to post assignment at the required reporting time and remain in position until relieved or dismissed.

Qualifications:

Minimum high school diploma or GED required. Handheld wand/metal detection experience is preferred. Minimum of two years security experience required. Individual must be able to work in all weather conditions. He or she must be a team player, who cares about the team's work and success. Person hired must have excellent writing skills and be able to stand for long periods of time. One must possess safety awareness, excellent customer service, writing and verbal communication skills. Be able to work special events, assigned schedule, extended hours, weekends and holidays and must successfully complete a criminal background check.

Ground Crew

Job Description:

Assist in maintaining an excellent playing surface for the players. May work with Ground Crew Management to assist coaching staff with any specific needs during games. Assist in the overall appearance and maintenance of the field.

Qualifications:

High School degree or GED. At least one year of grounds experience preferably in a baseball park, or related field such as landscaping or field maintenance.

Guest Relations Representative

Job Description:

Responsible for providing an exceptional experience for every guest that visits Turner Field through various contact points. This may include but is not limited to welcoming guests at our gates, assisting guests at one of our Guest Relations booths, serving as an elevator attendant, greeting guests on our club level, and/or assisting guests with our complimentary wheelchair service. Museum Tour Guide

Job Description:

Responsible for conducting tours of the ballpark and greeting guests in the Braves Museum and Hall of Fame. Most shifts are during business hours, though some game shifts will be available.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have excellent communication skills, must work well with children and large groups and must be able to walk and talk for the duration of a one-hour, one-mile tour. Tour guides must be knowledgeable about baseball and the Braves, and be able to learn the tour script.

Promotions Staff

Job Description:

Staff members must exhibit good customer service at game booths, operate equipment at desired levels and ensure it is working properly. Must always maintain appearance of area at all times, stock inventory, responsible for cash /credit transactions, and help to maintain orderly lines. Assist with all promotional item giveaways. Staff should report to work 3 hours before game time and expect to work through the game on average 5 to 6 hours total.

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age. Degree preferred but not mandatory. Must have excellent communication and people skills. For certain job functions successful background check required.

Switchboard Operator

Job Description:

Must be polite, articulate, and courteous to all callers at all times. Operators must be able to be attentive to callers/guests, discern their questions/concerns and provide clear and concise information/direction in response. Reporting time for games would be two and a half hours prior to game time. Operators are required to remain at the switchboard for at least one hour after the conclusion of the game. Operators will also have set schedules and reporting times for non-game days, which could include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

Ability to speak clearly and professionally, ability to multi-task, function under stressful conditions (such as high call volume), strong interpersonal skills (both face to face and telephonic) and the ability to accurately and consistently log and pass on information. Operators must project a professional demeanor at all times. Fluent bi- or multi-lingual ability is a plus. Switchboard or call center experience is a plus. Post high school education is a plus.

Ticket Event Team

Job Description:

Responsible for engaging, interacting, and building relationships with fans throughout the ballpark to accentuate the Atlanta Braves experience while at Turner Field. The staff will serve as peripheral support for the Ticket Sales department and 50/50 raffle sales for Braves Foundation. The staff's game-day focuses will be to entice fans to enroll in the Braves fan clubs like the Atlanta Braves Kids Club, to participate in lead generation efforts by surveying fans and promoting current sales initiatives, and to facilitate Pre-Game events such as hospitality patios, on-field parades, and All-Star Kids Parties.

Qualifications:

Staff members must be able to project an approachable, professional attitude at all times. Previous customer service experience a plus. Should be available from February - October, must be able to arrive 4 hours prior to each home game and work late hours, must be a team player and be able to communicate effectively; an outgoing attitude is a plus, ability to stand for long periods of time, ability to maintain a positive attitude and be proactive with fans, a high energy attitude and possess strong customer service knowledge, ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast paced setting, additional applicable duties that may evolve. Job Description:

Must have strong interpersonal skills and provide excellent customer service. Staff members must be able to project an approachable, professional attitude at all times. Must be responsible, dependable and punctual. Start 3 hours prior to game time and work through the end of the sixth inning.

Qualifications:

Working knowledge of computers and experience in handling money. Experience with Ticketmaster preferred. Must be available to work most games and work flexible hours. Must be able to provide excellent customer service when dealing with the public. Must be dependable and punctual. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Physical requirements include standing for 4-5 hours at a time, bending down to reach the ticket printer, and reaching across the ticket counter. Background check required.

Job Description:

Must be courteous, knowledgeable and outgoing. The primary responsibility of this position is to collect/scan a valid ticket from each guest who enters Turner Field. Ticket Takers work 4½ to 5½ hours per game.

Usher

Job Description:

Acts as the host to all guests during their visit to Turner Field. Each usher will be assigned a specific seating section (aisle) in Turner Field and is responsible for making sure guests are seated in their correct location. It is important that each Usher try to anticipate guests' problems and never avoid or ignore problems. Ushers work 5 to 6½ hours per game.

Qualifications:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, patrol their aisles on a regular basis and have excellent communication skills, must report to work 2½ hours before each game, must be able to work 30 minutes after conclusion of the game/clearing of the seating bowl, must be able to work in inclement weather and work game delays and extra innings if needed.

Retail Sales Associate

Job Description:

Providing first rate service to any customer including greeting all guests, assisting them in locating desired items, recommending items, answering any questions regarding the Braves or any merchandise, and following them through the purchase process. Must have complete knowledge of the Retail Pro POS System to insure inventory quantities and daily reports are accurate and to complete the financial tasks as part of the daily process of tracking sales and inventory. Properly stock merchandise and maintain a clean appearance in the store at all times. Assist the Store Manager with checking in merchandise distros and transfers from the warehouse by counting and cross checking the proper paperwork. Operate the Ticketmaster service offered in the store including assisting the guest in making the right ticket purchase as well as making sure that the Ticketmaster drawer balances every day.

Qualifications:

BA or MS degree in business, sports management, or related field. 2-3 Years experience in a Retail environment. Experience in Sports Customer Service a Plus. Some Shipping/receiving or Order Processing Skills. Working knowledge of Computer skills needed to operate the Inventory System - Retail Pro. Ability to multitask. Warehouse Associate

Job Description:

Work with the Warehouse Manager to count, ticket, and carry out the receiving process into Retail Pro (Inventory Control System). This not only involves Atlanta Braves merchandise, but merchandise for the minor league teams that has been ordered through the ABMD. Pick and pack Store Merchandise Mail Orders to process for shipment. Work with the Warehouse Manager, to provide the proper customer service and inventory control. Handle the Shipping and Receiving area of Turner Field which involves every delivery made to Turner Field. Perform periodic deliveries from the loading dock to individual departments. Merchandise is also delivered back and forth from Turner Field to the Braves Clubhouse Store at CNN Center. Merchandise runs are made to and from the Embroiderer for personalized jerseys as well as regular deliveries to the Gwinnett Braves at CoolRay Field. Throughout the year the ABMD warehouse is asked to work the Braves mailroom as they are the main substitute for filling this need. The Warehouse Associate must be trained in this area.

Qualifications:

Job Description:

Primarily responsible for conducting an extensive pregame "Behind the Scenes" ballpark tour to small groups or individuals who purchase the Braves VIP Experience. Must be comfortable with public speaking and have an extensive knowledge base of Braves Baseball. Also responsible for providing in-game seat visits to guests celebrating birthdays or special occasions. This position may also include assisting in other areas within the Guest Relations department, such as welcoming guests at our gates, assisting guests at one of our Guest Relations booths, serving as an elevator attendant, greeting guests on our club level, and/or assisting guests with our complimentary wheelchair service. Must be proactive in identifying opportunities to create special Braves moments. Must have strong interpersonal skills and provide excellent customer service.
