201Eldemire, GauntlettOhio UniversityCFR/R6'03"1989-02-28JR
Comments: Sam was selected in the 10th round last year by the Oakland Athletics but opted not to sign.
202Gausman, KevinGrandview HS (CO)RHPL/R6'04"1991-01-06HS
Comments: Gausman is a known name in Draft circles after hitting the summer showcase circuits. In those settings, he was able to show off his plus arm strength and the ability to light up radar guns from a projectable frame. This spring, however, he hasn't shown the aptitude to do much else consistently. His secondary stuff has not been sharp, and he struggles to throw any of those offerings for strikes. As a "name" prospect who does have big-time arm strength, he's still likely to garner some interest, but it seems like his stock has taken a hit this spring.

205Encinas, GabeSt. Paul HS (CA)RHPR/R6'03"1951991-12-21HS
Comments: Encinas is an intriguing, if not elite, right-handed pitching prospect from the California high school ranks. He has a good sinking fastball that induces plenty of ground balls. While his secondary stuff is more inconsistent, he does a terrific job of pounding the strike zone and going right after hitters. He has plenty of room for growth in that 6-foot-3 frame, and a team that wants to dream on that projection might take a shot with him.

206Keyes, KevinTexasRFR/R6'04"2451989-03-15JR
Comments: Keyes was a 26th-round selection of the Texas Rangers in 2007 but did not sign.
207Kubitza, AustinHeritage HS (TX)RHPR/R6'05"1901991-11-16HS
Comments: In 2009, Austin earned Honorable Mention All District 15-5A and was a member of the AFLAC All-American Team. He committed to play at Rice University.

210Aviles, RobbieSuffern HS (NY)RHPL/R6'04"1991-12-17HS
Comments: Northeast players often have a hard time getting seen enough, but teams know plenty about Aviles. The projectable right-hander's dad pitched pro ball for a while, and Aviles clearly has an understanding of how to pitch, with the chance to have three average or above-average offerings. He needs to tweak his delivery and improve his secondary pitches, but most believe all of that is correctable with time and experience. Thanks to the summer showcase circuit, Aviles put himself firmly on the national map. His performance this spring has only solidified it and should cause him to come off the board fairly swiftly.

214Vanegas, A.J.Redwood Christian HS (CA)RHPR/R6'03"2051992-08-16HS
Comments: Typically, teams like their high school pitchers to be tall and projectable, meaning there's room to add size, strength and velocity. Vanegas isn't that type, though there is some projection to be made, particularly with his curve and changeup. He's very poised on the mound and has a good idea of how to pitch. Teams may pause because Vanegas is committed to Stanford -- historically a tough commitment to sign a player away from -- and it's hard for a team to overpay for a pitcher without any plus-present stuff. Even so, Vanegas will be sure to garner interest after the first group of prep arms is selected.

221Lorenzen, MichaelFullerton HS (CA)CFR/R6'02"1801992-01-04HS
Comments: Lorenzen is an intriguing high school outfield prospect who opened some eyes early at the Urban Youth Acadmy Showcase. He's always shown a good feel for the game, but his toolset had been lacking. That began to change at the showcase, as he ran better, showed a plus arm and good defensive skills to go along with his overall hitting ability. If the tools continue to pop out to scouts along with his instincts for the game, he could move up the charts as June approaches.

300Holt, TylerFlorida StateCFR/R5'11"1901989-03-10JR
Comments: Holt profiles as a very good fourth outfielder at the big-league level or perhaps an average starter on a non-competing team. His best tool is his speed, and it's a plus. He has a decent bat, albeit with below-average power. He's a pretty good fielder with solid-average range. He's not at the top of the college bat list, but he's the type that will one day help a big league team out.
