A: Registration is now open. Registration will close at 3,500 runners or at packet pickup on August 2, whichever is first.
Q: May I register someone else for the Race?
A: No. All participants must register themselves. Each race entrant must personally read and agree to a liability waiver and the required fundraising commitment.
Q. Do I have to register online for the Royals Charities 5K Run/Walk?
A. We strongly prefer that you register online. However, if online registration is impossible, please contact email@example.com expressing your interest in registering offline. We will make every effort to meet your request. You can register onsite at packet pick-up on Friday, August 1, at Ultramax Sports as long as the race has not reached its maximum number of participants.
Q. Must individual entrants participate in teams and race together?
A. No, teams are not required. Most runners will compete as individuals. However some find it more fun to participate as a team and to challenge each other and other teams to raise the most money.
Q: How do I pick up my t-shirt & bib?
A: After registering you will be assigned a bib number. You will receive your bib number, T-shirt and packet at packet pick-up. Packet pick-up will be on Friday, August 1 from noon-8pm at Ultramax Sports located at: 6911 Tomahawk Rd, Prairie Village, KS 66208, and late packet pickup will be Saturday, August 2 from 6-7:00am at Rivals Sports Bar located inside Gate E at Kauffman Stadium.
Q: Where do runners get their timing devices?
A: We will be using a timing system that utilizes a disposable timing tag that is attached to your bib number. It eliminates the need to return the timing chips at the end of the race and also eliminates lost timing chip fees.
Donations to Fundraising Campaigns
Q: I am interested in donating to a fundraising campaign but I'm not sure how much to give?
A: All contributions to fundraising campaigns are fully tax deductible and will make a difference in a child's life in Kansas City (race registrations are not fully tax deductible). All monies raised stay in the Kansas City area. It is only through your generosity that Variety Children's Charity of Greater Kansas City will be able to address mobility issues for children and families suffering mobility and transportation issues throughout the bi-state area. There is no donation too big or small - all gifts are greatly appreciated and support Royals Charities and Variety Children's Charity of Greater Kansas City.
Q: Will donors receive tax documentation for their donation?
