"Atlanta Braves 4th of July Weekend" at Turner Field is Friday, July 1 - Monday, July 4

Independence Day celebrations at Turner Field will start on Friday, July 1st and continue through Monday, July 4th as the Atlanta Braves celebrate 4th of July Weekend with three spectacular fireworks shows on Friday, Saturday, and Monday, pregame ceremonies honoring members of the United States military on Sunday and Monday, and live music throughout the weekend in Fan Plaza.

In honor of our nation's heroes, the Atlanta Braves have offered FREE TICKETS TO ALL MILITARY PERSONNEL during the 4th of JULY WEEKEND (FRIDAY, JULY 1 - MONDAY, JULY 4). All active duty military, reserve military, and veterans can show military ID at the Turner Field Ticket Windows now through July 4 to receive a free Upper Box Ticket. Family members can buy additional tickets for half price. The offer is available at the Turner Field Ticket Windows in advance or on the day of the games.

On Monday, July 4th the postgame "All American Fireworks Spectacular," presented by Publix Super Markets and Disney's Captain America, will feature a dazzling display of pyrotechnics, choreographed to patriotic music, that will light up the Atlanta skyline in red, white and blue.

Helpful Hints for Fans Coming to 4th of July Weekend at Turner Field:

  • Fans are encouraged to Purchase Tickets in Advance on Braves.com/tickets and take advantage of the convenient Print from Home option (and say goodbye to will call!)
  • Pre-purchase Parking on Braves.com/parking or Take Marta - Turner Field parking maps can be found at www.braves.com/parking along with detailed directions, parking and traffic information.
  • Arrive Early - Gates open 3 hours prior to first pitch on the 4th of July come on out and enjoy all the pregame festivities in Fan Plaza, including live music from Yacht Rock Scooner and pregame Military tributes.

Atlanta Braves 4th of July Weekend Schedule:

Friday, July 1 at 7:35 p.m. vs. Baltimore Orioles (Plaza gate opens at 5:00 PM, ALL other gates open at 5:30 PM)

  • Publix Friday Night Fireworks: No need to wait until July 4 for fireworks. The Braves have fireworks after every Friday home game, and in honor of 4th of July Weekend, there will be fireworks Friday, Saturday and Monday, July 4!
  • Atlanta Braves Foundation Weekend is July 1 - 4: A four-day sports memorabilia sale held in the Hank Aaron Room (Aisle 128), Atlanta Braves Foundation Weekend provides all fans in attendance with the opportunity to purchase an exciting variety of Braves memorabilia. Funds raised during the event are utilized by the Foundation to support local charitable organizations with grant giving.

Saturday, July 2 at 7:10 p.m. vs. Baltimore Orioles (Plaza gate opens at 4:30 PM, ALL other gates open at 5:00 PM)

  • Publix SATURDAY Night Fireworks: The Atlanta Braves will celebrate Independence Day all weekend with fireworks on Friday and Saturday, with the grand finale fireworks show on Monday, July 4.
  • Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of one of the most beloved and acclaimed novels of all time, Gone with the Wind, on Saturday at the Braves game. Fans who come dressed as their favorite Gone with the Wind character will receive $10 off Upper Box or Outfield Pavilion tickets. Fans can also win prizes during a Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara look-alike contest before the game in Fan Plaza. Fans who show their July 2 Braves ticket stub at the Atlanta History Center or Margaret Mitchell House will receive $5 off admission. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a complimentary ticket to the Road to Tara Museum in Jonesboro ($7 value).
  • The Georgia Watermelon Association will be on hand in the Green Lot before the game, handing out more than 3,000 home grown watermelon samples to fans tailgating in the Publix Tailgate Zone. Contests will include a watermelon seed spitting contest and more.
  • The Return, a popular Beatles cover band, will perform in Fan Plaza before the game.

Sunday, July 3 at 1:35 p.m. vs. Baltimore Orioles (Plaza gate opens at 11:00 AM, ALL other gates open at 11:30 AM)

  • Before the game, the Georgia Watermelon Association will be back with 3,000 more watermelon samples and contests in the Green Lot's Publix Tailgating Zone.
  • Salute to the Troops: 100 troops who will soon be deployed overseas will line up around the diamond for a special tribute before the game.
  • Meet Albert Hall and Chris Seelbach in Fan Plaza before the game.
  • During the 6th Inning the Atlanta Braves will pay tribute to a local "Hometown Hero" from the United States Military.
  • Timothy Miller from the Atlanta Opera will perform God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch.
  • Kids Run the Bases After the Game: All children 14 and under are invited to run the bases after Sunday afternoon games.

Monday, July 4 at 7:10 p.m. vs. Colorado Rockies (ALL GATES OPEN EARLY AT 4:00 PM)

  • After the game the "All American Fireworks Spectacular," presented by Publix Super Markets and Disney's Captain America will feature a dazzling display of pyrotechnics, choreographed to patriotic music that will light up the Atlanta skyline in red, white and blue.
  • In a pre-game salute to our troops, more than 100 members of our nation's military will unfurl a giant American flag in the outfield before the National Anthem.
  • Rising country star and Jefferson, Georgia native, Corey Smith, an Average Joes recording artist, will perform the National Anthem.
  • At the conclusion of the National Anthem, airmen from Columbus Air Force Base will perform a flyover.
  • During the 6th Inning the Braves will pay tribute to a local "Hometown Hero" from the United States Military.
  • Timothy Miller from the Atlanta Opera will perform God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch.
  • Yacht Rock Schooner will perform in Fan Plaza before the game.
  • History is being made and Atlanta will witness it firsthand as Australian Ultra-marathoner Pat Farmer continues his run from the North Pole to the South Pole for the Red Cross disaster relief program. He arrives in Atlanta on the 4th of July to enjoy a baseball game with the America's Team and will be on the field during batting practice to collect autographed items from Atlanta Braves players to benefit the Red Cross, and to celebrate the holiday with the team and the people of Atlanta.
