The Atlanta Braves Trainee Program is designed for applicants who are interested in beginning a career in professional sports. Each year, the program attempts to hire individuals from around the nation with diverse backgrounds who are ambitious, intelligent and creative candidates to work in a department from January to November. This opportunity provides valuable experience in the day-to-day operations of a professional sports franchise, and it not only gives the opportunity to work in a Front Office environment, but also to build a network with those in the sports industry who can provide guidance, advice, and possible connections for job opportunities upon completion of the program.
The Atlanta Braves Trainee Program is open to any qualified applicant who has a college degree and a GPA of at least a 3.0 at graduation. Trainees are expected to work at least 37.5 hours per week and may have additional game day responsibilities (depending on department assignments). The individuals who participate in this program are paid $9.50/hour, plus overtime if applicable, but are not entitled to benefits (i.e. insurance, vacation, etc.)

- Position description includes but is not limited to:
- Provide superior customer service to clients - existing ticket holders, prospects and single game customers
- Call new businesses, previous ticket buyers and other targeted individuals to sell Braves season tickets, mini-plans and group packages

- Special Events Trainee
- Position description includes but is not limited to:
- Update weekly availability of rental space, distribution of the monthly calendar to Braves Front Office personnel and producing Special Events MLB reports for the legal department
- Return incoming calls regarding availability of rental spaces
- Book rental space and communicate policies and procedures to potential clients about the venue
- Assist with coordinating mass mailings and email blasts throughout the year
- Keep clients informed of changes regarding special events and provide customer service support (i.e. faxing/mailing requested information/answering client questions and distribution of logistical information)

- Position description includes but is not limited to:
- Assist the Partnership Services department in all areas including, service fulfillment and execution of special events.
- Merchandising (VIP Field Visits, First Pitches, pre-game presentations, suite nights), tickets/ticket requests, parking, print advertising, radio advertising, in-park recognition, in-game features, signage, gate giveaways, game-day/season-long promotions, Community Affairs programs, hospitality parties, youth baseball clinics, sponsor special events, drafting PowerPoint presentations and maintaining contact database, etc.
- Will be responsible for placing catering orders for corporate partner luxury suite outings, maintaining signage exposure logs and managing departmental photograph library.
- Year End Reports - keep detailed records of all partner elements and activation programs throughout year. Design, prepare and present comprehensive reports for each sponsor detailing and highlighting all elements included in their agreement as well as any additional exposure received throughout the season.
- Assist in planning and implementing Sponsor Opening Day party, Sponsor Golf Tournament, Sponsor Batting Practice/Softball game and Sponsor Movie Night.

- Assist Stadium Operations and Security Management with overall departmental responsibilities

- Assist in the maintenance of Secret Shopper statistics as well as general filing and documentation
- Participate and assist in the facilitation of various staff training sessions and drills

- Ticket Operations Trainee
- Position description includes but is not limited to:
- Assist the rapid and accurate completion of processing, printing and mailing/shipping in-house, season, group, online package, Student Achiever, Kids Club, and Smart Circle ticket orders.
- Serve as liaison between Client Services department and Ticket Office with ticketing issues that may arise throughout the day, as well as in the lobby during events.
- Assist with all aspects of financial reporting within the department.
- Respond to telephone and e-mail requests regarding tickets from all staff in a professional and timely manner.
- Serve as window seller and will call attendant during games when needed.
- Assist with off-site ticket selling events (i.e.: Turner Broadcasting employee sale, etc.)
- Process and ship ticket orders using UPS machine.
- Contribute as a team member to the overall success of the Atlanta Braves Ticket Operations Department.
