She Can Play
The Atlanta Braves and Publix team up each season for "She Can Play," an initiative aimed at encouraging girls to make healthy choices for their minds and bodies and enhance their lives through sports and physical activity.
In 2007, the Braves partnered with Tomorrow’s Champions and Go Girl Go! Atlanta for the "She Can Play" event held at the Atlanta Braves Baseball Academy. One hundred girls from the Villages at Carver Family YMCA and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta took part in a softball clinic, mentorship luncheon and workshops addressing topics including nutrition, physical fitness, leadership, character and teamwork.
