Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless
For the past ten years, the Atlanta Braves Foundation has teamed up with Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless (HFTH) to open the doors of Turner Field to Atlanta’s homeless and hungry population during HFTH events on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Those in attendance are provided with a seven-course meal; in addition, church services, clothing, showers, barber/beautician services, dental and medical screenings, toiletry kits, a long-distance call center and legal aid counseling are made available at no cost.
Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless was founded in 1971 by the late civil rights legend Reverend Hosea Williams and his wife Juanita. Afemo and Elizabeth Williams-Omilami took over the reins of the organization in 2001 after Reverend William's death. Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless is a year-round organization providing food, shelter, clothing, job training and human resource referrals to poor and homeless individuals. Since its inception, the organization has served over one million meals to the needy. For more information, visit
