Braves Wives Visit the Atlanta Day Shelter

Members of the Braves Wives Association recently visited the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children to lend a hand and create a mural near the Shelter's playground.

"It was great to visit the shelter and have the opportunity to see firsthand all of the work that they do to support women and their families," said Kim Hudson, wife of Braves pitcher Tim Hudson.

Since its inception in 1984, the Shelter has sought to ease the burden of homelessness for women and children and assist them in establishing self-sufficiency through its comprehensive education and support services.

The Atlanta Braves Foundation and the Braves Wives Association have had a long-standing relationship with the Shelter, and the mural project was part of the effort to continue to grow and expand the partnership.
