The Atlanta Braves Lead-Off the Season with Annual Luncheon for Charity

On April 17, the Atlanta Braves hosted the 2012 Lead-Off Luncheon benefiting the Atlanta Braves Foundation. The sold out event was hosted at the Turner Field 755 Club and included Braves executives, players, and coaches, and over 400 guests.

The Lead-Off Luncheon program continued with player introductions as Atlanta Braves players and representatives joined guest tables to enjoy lunch. Executive Vice President and General Manager Frank Wren and Manager Fredi Gonzalez made an address on the state of the Atlanta Braves, and a moderated Q & A session with several Braves stars gave all luncheon attendees an insightful look at the 2012 team.

This year's Lead-Off Luncheon also featured a silent auction with proceeds benefiting the Braves Foundation. The auction included premium Atlanta Braves merchandise such as a Chipper Jones framed autographed bat and photo, a Jason Heyward framed helmet, baseball and photo, and a Brian McCann autographed bat and photo. In addition, all luncheon guests had the opportunity to purchase a mystery "brown bag" with an autographed baseball inside. The 2012 Lead-Off Luncheon was a great start to the 2012 season and provided a great opportunity for fans to get an inside look at the Atlanta Braves organization while supporting the Atlanta Braves Foundation and the Atlanta community.
