Braves Care

Employee Volunteer Initiative
Employee Volunteer Initiative

The Atlanta Braves organization is committed to making a difference in the communities we serve. To demonstrate that commitment, Braves employees have stepped up to the plate through "Braves Care", an employee volunteer initiative designed to assist our community and charitable partners. Braves Care provides an opportunity for employees to get involved and make a difference in the metro Atlanta community. In 2009, Braves employees volunteered hundreds of hours and will continue to do so in 2010.

Below are just some of the ways Braves employees have given back to their community:

  • Tutoring and educational field trips with students at DH Stanton Elementary School.
  • Feeding the homeless on Thanksgiving, Christmas and MLK Day in conjunction with Hosea Feed The Hungry & Homeless.
  • Delivering Meals on Wheels to senior citizens.
  • Participating in card campaigns for troops overseas.
  • Back to School supply drive for DH Stanton Elementary.
  • Refurbishing baseball fields and hosting baseball clinics.
  • Providing gifts for needy children at Christmas through the Salvation Army Angel Tree program.
  • Preparing and serving food for Ronald McDonald House residents.
  • Spending time with children at the Atlanta Children's Shelter.
  • Volunteering with the Atlanta Community Toolbank to renovate a house in the Turner Field neighborhood.
