"Braves Care"
Employee Volunteer Initiative
The Atlanta Braves organization is committed to making a difference in the communities we serve. To demonstrate that commitment, Braves employees have stepped up to the plate through "Braves Care" an employee volunteer initiative designed to assist our community and charitable partners.
Braves Care provides an opportunity for employees to get involved and make a difference in the metro Atlanta community. In 2007 Braves employees volunteered hundreds of hours and will continue to do so in 2008.
Below are just some of the ways Braves employees are giving back to their community:
Tutoring fourth and fifth grade students at DH Stanton Elementary School.
Feeding the homeless on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Martin Luther King Day in conjunction with
Hosea Feed The Hungry & Homeless.
Refurbishing baseball fields and hosting baseball clinics.
Providing gifts for needy children at Christmas through the Salvation Army Angel Tree program.
Preparing and serving food for Ronald McDonald House residents.
Forming teams to walk in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk and March of Dimes Walk.
