Braves Wives Association

Braves Wives Group Shot

The Atlanta Braves Wives Association strives to make a positive impact in the metro-Atlanta community through a series of events and programs that raise funds for organizations that support women and children.

Each year, the Wives make several community appearances and take part in various activities including:

Braves Wives Toy Drive

Each season, the Wives collect new and unwrapped toys in Monument Grove from gates opening until the end of the first inning. The toys will be distributed to metro Atlanta Children's Healthcare of Atlanta locations during the Braves annual Christmas in July hospital visits. Fans who donate a toy with a minimum value of $10 will receive a special Braves autographed item (maximum two autographed items per family, while supplies last).

Braves players, wives and broadcasters deliver toys that were collected earlier in the month during the Braves Wives Toy Drive to children at metro Atlanta Children's Healthcare of Atlanta locations. In 2009, Brian and Ashley McCann, Yunel Escobar, Brian and Veronica Snitker, and Braves broadcasters Chip Caray and Fernando Palacios delivered toys, posed for photographs with patients and handed out Braves souvenirs. Zhu Zhu Pets also provided toys for the children during the event.

As part of the annual Braves Wives fundraiser, Wives roam Turner Field selling baseballs hidden in brown paper bags that have been autographed by their husbands and other Braves players and coaches. Fans may purchase these surprise bags for $40 from gates opening until the end of the third inning.
